James Muraguri is a public finance practitioner with over 15 years of experience in the non- profit sector. He is the founder and CEO of the Institute of Public Finance (IPF), a non-profit think tank that generates research-driven evidence for advocacy and provides technical assistance to governments and non-state actors to promote equitable, efficient, and effective Public Finance underpinned by Transparency, Accountability, and Participation. In addition to leading IPF Global, James is part of its technical team, where he works to support communities to engage meaningfully with elected officials and civil servants on public expenditure and equity. James is the lead consultant for Kenya on the Open Budget Survey (OBS), the world’s only independent, comparable measure of budget transparency, participation, and oversight. He is also a global fellow with Atlantic Fellow for Social and Economic Equity, part of a global cohort of social-change leaders, policymakers and researchers housed at the International Inequalities Institute in the London School of Economics and Political Science in the United Kingdom. James has over 15 years` experience in leadership positions. He is passionate about corporate governance and providing overall strategic leadership. He has held senior positions in the Cooperative movement. He was a member of the supervisory committee at Masterways NWDT Sacco society and later rose to the position of Board Chairman (2014-2024). During his stint he was involved in business turnaround and transitioning to SASRA. He was also extensively engaged in deployment of a robust Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for the organization and automation. He is well versed on matters governance and has attended several trainings with professional regulators such as ICPAK. He has a keen interest in compliance, effective decision making, board composition, restructuring and financing model. James is a certified public Accountant (CPA), a registered member of the Estate Agents Registration Board (EARB) A licensed insurance agent with over four years` experience. James holds an MBA (Corporate Management) from KCA university, Post Graduate Diploma in Business sciences (Real Estate Option) from JKUAT and a Bachelors degree in Public Administration and political science from Moi University. He is currently the Managing Director of Linchpin Holdings Ltd a company dealing in energy and Real estate solutions and holds Board position with an insurance agency organization. He has extensive experience in Board composition, restructuring, evaluation. He is also well acquinted with land transaction processes and offers advise on real estate.

Elizabeth Karoki has a Post Graduate Diploma in Law, a Bachelor of Laws, and is a Certified Secretary. Having been admitted to the bar in 2012, she is a seasoned advocate with a wealth of experience in a wide range of matters legal. As a Managing Partner of Mumbi Karoki & Company Advocates, she has honed her leadership skills over time. She had provided direction not only to her members of staff but also to other organizations, such as ours, that she represents in diverse legal and company secretarial matters. Elizabeth Karoki is an excellent results-oriented negotiator with a keen eye for detail. Her exceptional decision-making skills have helped us come up with solutions to the various legal challenges we face from time to time. She has successfully represented us in various corporate, commercial and property transactions and provided the much needed legal counsel on a wide range of legal matters. As our Company Secretary, she provides us with the full range of company secretarial services. This has ensured IPF is compliant with legal statutory requirements, through the years. Elizabeth is a fitness and sports enthusiast. She specifically enjoys swimming and basket ball. Travelling is a pass time she loves when she is not practising law. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and East Africa Law Society.

Duncan Maina is the Head of Global Finance/CFO at Interpeace, an international organization based in Geneva that prevents violence and builds lasting peace. Interpeace has 30 years of experience working in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Latin America. He previously held senior finance positions at Tearfund UK which included Head of Regional Finance for East and Central Africa, Senior Management Accountant for West Africa and Country Finance and Operations Manager in Liberia. He holds an Executive Master's degree in Management and leadership from the United International States University; while undertaking this degree he did a summer immersion program at Solbridge International Business School in South Korea where his main area of focus was understanding Asian Business cultures. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and has an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Nairobi in Kenya.

Florence Otieno Achieng is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a human rights expert. She has vast experience working with development organizations and non-governmental organizations. She currently works at Enabel-the Belgium Development Agency where she focuses on human rights and digital Rights for marginalized persons among other areas. Previously she worked in various non-governmental organizations where she led various human right programs. She also led projects on economic empowerment. Florence also led the development and implementation of advocacy and communications strategies. In addition, she serves on the Board of the Young Women Leadership Institute. She is also a fellow of the East Africa Emerging Public Interest Litigation Advocates Programme. She holds a Masters of Laws in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa from the University of Pretoria, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nairobi and a postgraduate diploma from the Kenya School of Law.

Dr. Martha Njiiri, PhD is a communication expert with over 15 years of experience working with non-profit, public, and private sectors as a consultant, researcher, trainer, and lecturer in the areas of development communication, support communication, strategic communication, capacity development, and applied research. She is currently the Head of Strategic Communications at the IGAD Centre of Excellence for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (ICEPCVE) where in her role she provides expert support to key stakeholders to develop strategic communication plans and trains state and non-state actors on how to develop and disseminate counter and alternative narratives to discredit violent extremists ideologies in the Horn of Africa. Her dedication in her current role has seen her awarded international fellowships including the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education, Kistesfos African Public Service Fellowship to undertake the emerging leaders programme and the International Dialogue Centre, KAICIID fellows programme to augment her capacity in delivering her professional duties. She is also a beneficiary of the Advanced International Training Programme in Media Regulation in a Democratic Framework which enabled her to work closely with media experts in Kenya in change initiatives to support the development of self-regulatory frameworks for the media sector and contribute to national reform and change processes. Martha holds a PhD in Mass Communication from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, a Masters degree in Communication Studies from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor's degree in Communication (Public Relations) from Daystar University.
