Strengthened Civil Society and Media for Fiscal Justice (NORAD)

The project aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations and journalists to advocate for equitable recovery through progressive and gender-sensitive domestic resource mobilization. It contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 5 on gender equality by promoting policies and budget practices that advance women’s empowerment. The project also supports SDG 10 by advocating for fiscal policies that reduce inequalities and SDG 17 by engaging in dialogue on sustainable debt practices with global institutions like the IMF. Through evidence generation on tax policy and public finance, the initiative will push for more inclusive, transparent, and equitable resource allocation at both national and county levels.
