Diplomatic Pathways to Global Equity

DPGE is IPF’s flagship global program dedicated to advancing Africa’s leadership in transforming international public finance ecosystem and ensuring that global economic systems work for the benefit of all. Through strategic diplomacy, evidence-based advocacy, and innovative policy solutions, the program strengthens Africa’s collective voice in driving reforms of the International Financial Architecture (IFA) to deliver accountability, transparency, and fairness in global financing.

At its core, the program promotes equitable macroeconomic governance, sustainable debt management, and the fight against Illicit Financial Flows (IFFs), while embedding ethical Artificial Intelligence (AI) into public finance systems to enhance oversight, detect leakages, and protect civic space. Recognizing the pivotal role of global financial institutions including the World Bank, IMF, Trade and Development Bank and African Development Bank the program prioritizes oversight of multilateral funds, ensuring these resources are governed responsibly, aligned with community priorities and support locally-driven solutions for peace, stability, and climate resilience. By leveraging Africa’s technical expertise and centering the continent’s development aspirations, Diplomatic Pathways to Global Equity seeks to secure a safer, accountable and more prosperous world, with Africa leading the charge for global economic justice and inclusive, sustainable growth.
